dwilcox:yesterday: working on FCREPO-1371, couldn't replicate the error. After talking with @scossu, found out that he has the errors with million records in repository. Today: continue working one the same issue, will ingest much more files in repository and see what happened. Blocker: none. If I have, will ask around.09:12

<mikeAtUVa>dhlamb: barmintor said his train was runnin' a little late, so we'll meet when he shows up if you're still available...09:53
<dhlamb>mikeAtUVa: I've got something at 12:30 EST. Other than that we should be ok. I just may be eating lunch while talking :D09:57
<mikeAtUVa>dhlamb, oh, he said he'd only be 15 minutes late or so.. maybe check back in at 10:30 eastern? (is it one hour later in PEI?)09:58
<dhlamb>mikeAtUVa: Yeah, we're in Atlantic time here. That's no problem at all. 10:30 EST works fine.10:00
mikeAtUVa: I've been under a rock for bit, just saw your message. Push away. I can always merge.10:01
mikeAtUVa: I need to find a good way to do notifications with IRSSI in mac.10:02
<mikeAtUVa>dhlamb: I know the feeling. No problem. Will do.
<HackmasterA>ha, dhlamb, i am literally downloading a new irc client right now for that reason. (have been using irssi on a remote machine)10:12
<dhlamb>HackmasterA: the whole growl notifications things seems a little silly, i must admit. i may have to give it up and go gui. makes me sad :(10:15
<barmintor>mikeAtUVa dhlamb knock knock10:16
<mikeAtUVa>welcome barmintor.
barmintor: dhlamb: Should we use google hangout? Skype?
<awoods>All, I am back from the woods.10:17
<dhlamb>barmintor, mikeAtUVa: either work for me
greetings awoods!
<awoods>greetings, dhlamb.
I am glad to hear the three of you are collaborating.
<mikeAtUVa>Were you in the woods, mr woods?
<dhlamb>you went there10:18
<ruebot>w/r/t irssi i use a hilight window at the top that's pretty handy https://www.dropbox.com/s/ce74yn5dcfhhivj/Screenshot%20from%202015-03-04%2010%3A19%3A11.png?dl=0
<barmintor>mikeAtUVa: I prefer hangouts
<awoods>mikeAtUVa: indeed
<mikeAtUVa>barmintor, dhlamb, shall we use the duraspace one? https://plus.google.com/hangouts/_/event/c1glu6soq43r1rr6ou17qtobug8
<barmintor>I am headed there now10:19
<ruebot>y'all cool with me there?
<mikeAtUVa>ruebot: sure... everyone's welcome.

<barmintor>awead: how does the psu migration script deal w/ versions of datastreams?10:39
<awead>barmintor: it recreates each version of the original10:40
barmintor: when you've identified the datastrea as "versionable" otherwise, it just migrates the latest version of the original

awoods/dwilcox: Created PR for FCREPO-1357, waiting for some feedback from awoods on FCREPO-1377, investigating FCREPO-1362 could use some reference on the use of multi-value properties11:02
<f4jenkins>Project fcrepo4 build #2741: FAILURE in 9 min 40 sec: http://jenkins.fcrepo.org/job/fcrepo4/2741/11:08
<barmintor>thanks awead11:11
<awead>barmintor: sure. one other thing, I had to add Premis predicate to capture the date/time that each version was originally created. I can say more about that, if you need11:14
<mikeAtUVa>dhlamb, ruebot: see if the embedded issue list works now https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/FF/Fedora+3+to+4+Upgration11:15
<barmintor>awead: we were talking about just that
<awead>barmintor: here's the SPARQL that does it - https://github.com/projecthydra-labs/fedora-migrate/blob/master/lib/fedora_migrate/content_mover.rb#L4411:17
that’s very bad
<awead>barmintor: why?
<barmintor>not you
if one of the things migrating requires is type=archive exports, I don’t know if it can work11:20
I think it has to use type=public and resolve the content11:21
but I hate gotchas like that
<ruebot>mikeAtUVa: there it is!11:22
<mikeAtUVa>barmintor, dhlamb, ruebot: will any of you be able to make the sprint planning meeting at 2:00 to report back from our meeting and help guide the ticket assignment?
<barmintor>mikeAtUVa: I have another meeting at 2pm, but I can check in at 3pm11:23
<ruebot>mikeAtUVa: 2pm EST - I can attend. I'll bug Danny in Skype if he is around. (lunchtime in PEI)
<mikeAtUVa>barmintor, ruebot thanks... I won't be able to attend!11:24
<dhlamb>mikeAtUVa: I may or may not be able to attend. Depends on how things go this afternoon11:31
mikeAtUVa: I did add a comment on the dependency injection ticket to provide some context
<mikeAtUVa>dhlamb: Thanks, I think the need will be clear there.11:32
<f4jenkins>Yippee, build fixed!11:55
Project fcrepo4 build #2742: FIXED in 13 min: http://jenkins.fcrepo.org/job/fcrepo4/2742/
<barmintor>ok ruebot there are two issues: 1) in FOXML serialization it reads the DS content into memory to B64 encode/output it, this is easy to fix12:00
ruebot: 2) in exports generally, the export serialization is read into memory as a byte array and then flipped into an inputstream for the response12:01
that’s a little harder to fix. not impossible, but harder
this is also academic for non-Zip ATOM exports, since IDK if there’s anything we could do to get abdera to stream12:03
but I think non-Zip archive exports in ATOM are a pretty niche concern
<ruebot>ouch. i'll make sure not to export any 100G+ datastreams for test fixtures :-)12:12
<mikeAtUVa>barmintor: sounds like you rememeberd the need for stream processing for the export... do you still need a reminder?12:13
<barmintor>mikeAtUVa: no, I made a ticket12:14
mikeAtUVa: thanks tho
my brain is very full
<mikeAtUVa>barmintor: NP... just writing up some notes from the meeting...
<ruebot>barmintor: stop watching the butterfly effect over and over!

<whikloj>Is there an easy way to skip the maven enforce-victims-rule? For whatever reason it won't update today and is making a compile impossible.13:43
<barmintor>ruebot: if I send you a link to a fork do you have a ginormous ds to test it with?13:45
<ruebot>barmintor: possibly. depends on what's involved since i'm limited systems-wise.13:46
<barmintor>ruebot: export some object with a datastream that won’t fit into the configured heap, I guess13:47
<ruebot>barmintor: i could spin up a vm to that.13:48
<jcoyne>java -Xmx=1mb13:51
<barmintor>enough to start fedora, nt enough to hold the datastream
<ruebot>clone a vm now13:52
err, cloning
<barmintor>ruebot: wait wait still working on a test and I have a 2pm EST conference call
barmintor: i'm around until 4:30 EST.13:53
<ksclarke>whikloj: add following to command line should skip: -Denforcer.skip=true
<whikloj>ksclarke: thanks13:54
<ajs6f>barmintor: I didn't find anything else interesting about those F3 PRs. I think they're peachy.14:53
<barmintor>ajs6f: cool
<ajs6f>barmintor: No, peachy. I meant what I said.
<barmintor>ajs6f: I’m trying to fix this stupid export bug/peach that ruebot found
pit. peach pit.14:54
<ajs6f>barmintor: Was that the discussion earlier about datastreams?
bug in the peach.
<dhlamb>barmintor, is that a 90210 reference?
<barmintor>ajs6f: yeah, seriaizations don’t stream and it’s a problem
dhlamb: no, I never watched it, much to the mortification of my friends14:55
<ajs6f>barmintor: You mean the kind of serialziation where we XML up everything, including the datastreams?
<barmintor>ajs6f: AKA “the kind of serialization people use when they migrate to other repositories, like FCR4”14:56
<ajs6f>barmintor: Why wouldn't people use the kind with URL references in them?
<barmintor>because they’re monsters14:57
<ajs6f>What a world, what a world...
<ruebot>fwiw, i tried to import a 3.8.0 export with migrate context into 3.7.1 and i got that checksum error14:59
found a reply to the mailing list by ben from 2012 when i googled the error.
<barmintor>I was fresh-faced and optimistic then, a lad of 2 or 3 minor version releases15:00
