AsynchDigest ad = new AsynchDigest(file);11:34
(new Thread(ad)).start();
public class AsynchDigest implements Runnable {
File file;
public AsynchDigest(File file) {
System.out.println("asynch constructor");
this.file = file;
public void run() {
System.out.println("asynch file" + file.getPath());
In above, the constructor sysout prints but the run systout doesn't11:35

<Matthias__>Hi there, as I mentioned in the call right before I am having some issues with the dependency versions. The Enforcer in my github is set to report only right now and the current version is not runable due to the duplicate lucene (kernel-version and mine) I think (couldn't figure that out right now). Andrew asked me to post my github-link: https://github.com/walterMPDL/fcrepo-jms-indexer-pluggable11:48
The problem which made me turn off the enforcer-plugin was the commons-lang which is contained in the solr-core project itself in two versions. Maybe anyone has already tried to include it somewhere and has an idea how to fix that...11:51
<ermadmix>Answering my own question, apparently the System.out from new thread's run() doesn't print, but run() is able t update a variable such as:11:53
public void run() {
//System.out.println("asynch file" + file.getPath());
testStr = "updated";

ermadmix: That is odd and interesting: the System.out not displaying in the run() method. In any case, I am glad all is well.12:27
Matthias__: Thanks for posting your Git repository. I will give your dependency issue a look later today.12:29
escowles: I am not sure including the fcrepo-jms-indexer-pluggable in kitchen-sink is something we want to do.12:30

<escowles>awoods: is there a low-maintenance way of including an alternate config, to make it as easy as possible for people to setup fcrepo and whatever indexer(s) they want to try out? maybe an alternate sample config file is a better approach?12:41
<awoods>escowles: on a call...12:42
<gregjansen>escowles: you might offer a config in fcrepo-jcr/src/main/resources/config.. but so far those are only repository.json files..12:43
* ermadmix leaves
<gregjansen>escowles: this also seems like a common requirement that needs to be part of the wiring and config wiki page12:44
<escowles>gregjansen: yes, this seems like a very common place where sites would need to change the configuration
<gregjansen>escowles: definitely12:45
escowles: here is a config/wiring principle from the wiki that comes close "It should be possible (and even easy) to package pre-selected configuration as part of a deployable artifact. "12:46
escowlesperhaps not quite the same thing..
<escowles>yes, i think that's the goal here - how to choose which components to use and what config to use for them12:47
and in particular, how that works in a typical deployment with a non-bundled app server, pre-packaged war, standalone solr/triplestore/etc. (possibly on separate machines), etc.12:48

<awoods>escowles: I can see having the fcrepo-webapp (with a suggested repository.json), fcrepo-jms-indexer-webapp, and stand-alone triplestore... with appropriate wiki documentation that makes it very clear how to stand the three up as being adequate for getting people going.13:54

<ermadmix>Question, trying to add a mixin property(using just the name for now) within modeshape connector:17:54
ExtraProperties extraProperties = extraPropertiesFor(id, true);
Property p = propertyFactory().create(new BasicName("http://www.jcp.org/jcr/1.0","mixinTypes"));
Exception in thread "Thread-2" org.modeshape.jcr.cache.DocumentStoreException: The external source "large-files2" cannot store the extra property "jcr:mixinTypes" on node "/WallSsamAniC.tif/jcr:content"
at org.modeshape.jcr.federation.NoExtraPropertiesStorage.storeProperties(NoExtraPropertiesStorage.java:81)
Any idea?
