<cbeer>escowles: do you want to look at #69610980, while I pick up #69469628?09:56
<escowles>cbeer: i've got most of #69469628 working locally (just trying to get brittle ITs to work checking for the link headers and triples to be present)09:58
<cbeer>escowles: oh, ok
<escowles>what about #69470740 ? do you know what format we should publish restrictions in?09:59
<cbeer>escowles: LDP doesn't specify, and says human readable might be good enough.
<escowles>cbeer: also, for #69469628 -- do you mind if i push another commit to the prefer branch? or should i make a new branch for it?10:03
<cbeer>escowles: go for it.

<escowles>well that's something -- rdf:type is a good example of a predicate that's server-managed in some contexts but we expect users to update it in others10:25

<escowles>awoods: each of my commits address a single issue -- would you like me to break them out each into its own PR?10:29
also, i rebased my changes onto master, but now there are duplicate copies of my commits so i think i've done something wrong: https://github.com/futures/fcrepo4/pull/28510:30
<awoods>escowles: I do not want to slow you down, but without individual PRs, there is no clean way of committing updates to master in a piece-wise fashion.10:32
escowles: re: rebase master, from within the dev branch did you execute: "rebase master"?10:33
<escowles>yes, then i fixed the conflict, added the updated file and did git rebase --continue, then pushed my changes10:34
but maybe i should just abandon that and make single-issue PRs for you anyway, rather than figure out why the rebase made duplicate commits10:35
<awoods>escowles: thanks. You can probably "git cherry-pick" specific commits into new branches.

<cbeer>escowles: i think the round-tripping test is failing because we lost some logic that stripped out the inlined resources (e.g. the parent and children nodes) from the update request10:48
escowles: and Prefer: return=minimal is actually round-trippable as-is
should i settle for that small victory?
<escowles>yes, i think Prefer: return-minimal is enough -- if people want to roundtrip, they should use that
