<fasseg>Some results from the SCC cluster: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/FF/Performance+evaluation+on+the+SCC+Cluster11:35
the small benchmarking tool used: https://github.com/futures/benchtool
<tecoripa>fasseg: nice11:38
fasseg: clustering kinda stinks
<ajs6f>Jut a last minute reminder: for those on the sprint, we have our sprint "wrap-up" today at 3PM US Eastern time. See ya there!11:39
tecoripa: Clustering is also difficult to "see through" to get trustable results. There are a million variables, as @fasseg can tell you. We did (on the committers' call ending a moment ago) get a promise from Greg Jansen to check into whether UNC can volunteer some cluster resources to do testing, which could help a lot.11:40
<tecoripa>ajs6f: yes, I can imagine that load testing a cluster would be difficult to monitor and control all the variables.11:42
<ajs6f>I think we should just say that clustered fcrepo4 is fast. How fast? It's just fast. That's all you need to know. Just fast.11:43
This interview is over!
Notes from committers' call:https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/FCREPO/2013-10-17+-+Fedora+Committer+Meeting
nbanks++
<barmintor>on a scale of fast to fast, I'd rate it a fast out of fast. *that's* how fast it is.
<ajs6f>It's as fast as ten fast softwares.11:44
<barmintor>It's the fastest Fedora 4 to date!11:45
<pivotal-bot_____>Mike Durbin added "Improve the HTML rendering of the fedora 4 rest API to make it more welcoming to new users" https://www.pivotaltracker.com/story/show/5905659611:48
<tecoripa>is it faster than this? http://dreager1.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/d737speed-racer-go-speed-posters.jpg11:50
<ajs6f>It's at least as fat as that weird monkey thing that used to hang around with Speed.11:51
s/fat/fast, or maybe not.
<tecoripa>depends on how clustered the monkey was, I s'pose11:52
<barmintor>I'm pretty sure I make an angry talking face like Speed's dad the whole time I whack away at FCR3
