<cbeer>VincentNG: I wired up the fcrepo-kitchen-sink to jenkins as requested..10:46
but why did I do it?
are we going to be adding tests there?
or some other java magic?
<VincentNG>cbeer: eddies requested that, so i'm not sure what he had in mind.10:48
<ff-pivotal>Chris Beer added comment: "Done: http://ci.projectblacklight.org/jenkins/job/fcrepo-kitchen-sink/ ; not sure what the plan is though, be..." https://www.pivotaltracker.com/story/show/4536622710:49

<ff-pivotal>Chris Beer edited "Add fcrepo-kitchen-sink to jenkins" https://www.pivotaltracker.com/story/show/45366227
<cbeer>anyway, makes my stats look better, so I guess I shouldn't complain10:50
<VincentNG>because i keep asking about jenkins? :-)
why don't we use jenkins to run the script anyway?
<ff-pivotal>Chris Beer edited "Add (Spring) configuration and usage documentation to fcrepo-jms-solr-indexer" https://www.pivotaltracker.com/story/show/4409248710:51
<cbeer>VincentNG: i tried to rig that up, but there was some problem..

<ppound>I'm here11:02
<barmintor>is this the standup? I'm still just lurking.
<eddies>hi lurker
<barmintor>"Due to the number of participants in this hangout, your microphone is muted by default."11:03
^^ I love this
<ppound>k I'm not in the hangout
<cbeer>barmintor: do you know anything about ActiveFedora/solrizer indexing?
<ppound>yet sorry
<barmintor>cbeer: yes...
why?
<ppound>i'm in the hangout now
<cbeer>barmintor: think we can pawn https://www.pivotaltracker.com/story/show/45395527 off on you or your colleagues (whose names I've forgotten)?11:04
<barmintor>sure, I can work on that11:05

<cbeer>barmintor: thanks. i think it's a good candidate for handing-off, but I don't have a sense for how hard it'd be11:06
<barmintor>cbeer: it would actually be a good way for me to introduce Jack to some of the Hydra stack :)

maybe the fcrepo-rss artifact is out of date?11:17

<cbeer>let me kick off a new fcrepo4 build on jenkins
looks like it went UNSTABLE recently

<eddies>vincentng: http://kenai.com/projects/suncloudapis/pages/Home11:29
and for anyone else playing at home, the link above is a pretty nice example of a self-documenting, restful api11:57
<jcoyne>eddies: I disagree, it's nice documentation, but it's not representational. I asked for the HTML representation of CloudAPIVMRequests and I got a bunch of documentation12:02
Maybe I misunderstand what you're getting at.12:04
Bound self to the wrong context perhaps?12:05
<eddies>well, no. the link itself is just to their wiki, not a running instance of a service implementing the api12:10
so you're right, the wiki itself is not the api =)
err implementation of the api, i mean
but you start from a GET of Cloud Resources12:11
you get a response which tells you about (i.e. links to) the underlying "virtual data centers"
and you can drive around, GETing, POSTing, DELETEing etc as appropriate with all state self-contained12:12
<ajs6f>HATEOS. Follow your nose.12:18
<eddies>so i was able to duplicate the /rest/rss problem locally when i was just running "mvn jetty:run"12:21
however, it works when i do "mvn jetty:run-war"12:22
<VincentNG>yea, i was doing run-war as well so /rss was working for me locally too12:24
<cbeer>what's the difference?12:25
<eddies>ok, so it might be as simple as changing /etc/init.d/fcrepo4 to invoke run-war instead
kitchen-sink is an "overlay" war, so i think the regular mvn jetty:run isn't picking up all the files that are in the fully-assembled war
because it's running on (i guess) stuff it sees in target/12:26
<ajs6f>mvn jetty:run actually looks at stuff in src/. It avoids assembling anything, which is why it can do auto-reload.12:33
Got to run, but I'll check in later in case I can help.12:34

<eddies>works now
<cbeer>ah, makes sense. cool12:35
eddies++
<eddies>updated the init script
<VincentNG>thanks eddie12:36
<eddies>cbeer: is there a vhost entry which is fcrepo4.fedora4lib.org?
so we don't have anything responding on an xxx.fcrepo.org host?
<cbeer>http://fcrepo4.fcrepo.org/v3/describe12:38
<eddies>did you just do that? i thought i tried that earlier12:43
anyway. danke. cbeer++
<cbeer>yes, i just set that up13:00
